Website 

I really wanted to always have a website where i can update my journey as a visual artist and document everything like my blogs. Having a website will be give me a social space where people can view my work. Designing the website was time consuming but worth everything. I will put the link down so you can view it and share your ideas with me in the contact bar. 

I have taken some screenshots of my website that i have done. Really proud of myself for designing it in that way that i could express myself. 

When i finalise my website i will be paying for it so its published and ready to view to the world.

What Worked?

I am really proud to say that i now have a website but having to work on it really made everything worth it. 

What Didn't Work?

Having to start from scratch to design my website and learning how to use the program.  

What Next?

Publishing my website and advertising it on social media.

This was my final results for my show on the 19th Of November. I really had fun with this and was excited on how i will be presenting my final work. The first image was the standard way i put the images up then changing the positions of the images in the next two photos. It created are warm and balanced space and i am very proud of how it turned out. 

For my final show i printed around 20 of my wanted poster and put it around the city to bring back the old school feel of a wanted man.

I created my own website for my work and other visual artworks. Moving image tattooing and illustration work. 

  

What Worked?

Im Really happy with the final results and how it was positioned in the end. And sharing the space with Albert really complimented each others work.

  

What Didn't Work?

Besides the images being changed and balanced. I really wanted the images to be bigger only to cover the walls that i put my work on but overall happy with my placement.

What Next?

Gaining confidence from this show with Albert really helped me with how i can adapt to the spaces that i get from now and the future shows.

I Really like how these images came out and i will be thinking of making a series of work. Having the real photos and putting my animation in which makes the image stand out more. 

What Worked?

The style of work really paid off in the design. Simple but yet effective.

What Didn't Work?

The only thing that Didn't work for me was the plain white drawings because in the other experiment its over exposed and the animation doesn't stand out as much.

What Next? 

Experimenting more with the other images that i will be uploading.

Updated Illustration Work

For these illustrations it was special because my family don't really ask me to do work for them when it comes to my animations and it has been a honour to have my work as presents as christmas is around the corner. 

So my cousin is going to frame these works and give them to her friends and parents as gifts.

These are some of my commissioned work that i have been doing Lately as i am doing experimenting with colour and balance.

Research: Wanted Poster

For my wanted poster i wanted to see if i could do the wanted poster of me as the old school western way or having it original and illustration of me. 

I looked at tutorials of how to do the wanted poster in are old western look. But at the end of the day i ended up going with my original plan

I googled the wanted poster template just to help me on how i wanted to start my wanted poster but the only thing is that i had to cut the actual image into the final product. Adding Tea to give it that old western look.  

I really like this cartoon image from the animation movie Tangled. the text in the other hand doesn't stand out for me. But i do like the layout of the whole image. 

What Worked?

Deciding that i was going with my version of the wanted poster helped me understand that sometime being old school is good but mixing it modern flavour could take it a long way.

What Didn't Work?

Having to o through the tutorials that i looked at and trying new things where i started was what i ended up going with.

What Next?

In the future il experiment more with this type of style. But for now its are good foundation to start from. 

Final / Comic

I am really happy with the outcome of my comic only because it has helped me understand my limits on learning new things as i become better with my illustrations. I have to say it was a good choice to half the comic it gave it more space to tell its own story. 

With the middle image i will be doing multiple prints so i can put up around town on the day of my show. i decided to colour in the Shirts of the objects in the comic to give it volume and having the speech bubbles white to give the viewer a chance to explore and decide what happens in the comic strip. 

What worked?

I really like how i progressed throughout the weeks of doing my comic strip and making some slight changes but i am defiantly pleased with the final outcome.

  

What Didn't?

Having to learn the steps and Adobe Illustrator it really made it hard for me when it came down to the doing my first comic and using Illustrator.

What Next?

Experimenting more with Adobe Illustrator and getting better so when it comes to working with the program it wont be as hard on me. 

Critique on my Comic

I really like the feedback from my peers, and Frances about my work and how i am going to display my work. Recently i found are location along side Albert who is are class mate and we will be sharing the space at O.M.A.C in Otara on the 12th of November. So i am gratefully thanking him for giving me a place to display my work.

From my feedback i decided to make a few changes to my work and i went with the Forgive & Forgive as the title of my work. Because it means a lot to me and it has impacted me hence why i have it tattooed on my chest. The Forgive is for my farther who i don't see anymore because of family issues and it has bothered me for a while now so i do forgive him for what he has done. And the forget is for my grandparents and how i wont forget them when they past on to a better life. 

I still need to start on my website because i found are space to view my work i can take my time on doing my website. 

I will be printing the wanted poster of me and on the day of me and Albert's show i will be putting the posters up around the town. Old school style.
